RIP John Barry, composer of the soundtracks of 11 James Bond films and many others including Midnight Cowboy. He won Oscars for Born Free (for best song and best score), The Lion in Winter, Out of Africa and Dances With Wolves.

Ipcress was my personal fave… watched it on tv again one Sunday afternoon not too long ago and thought at the time just how good the music was.

Judge Dredd Megazine

Hi Arthur! *Waves*

Arthur Wyatt is a friend of mine and I recently gently teased him for setting up a google alert for himself to see if anyone was talking about his writing. I wonder how long before he spots this…? 😉

He’s great by the way and you should check out his stuff in 2000AD and especially The Judge Dredd Megazine – where he’s current got a story ‘Samizdat Squad

His web site is here, it’s a bit old and his main online presence is on Metafilter.
